Psychologist’s Fees

My fees for 2026 are set at R1 515 per 60 minute session of psychotherapy.

If you belong to a medical aid scheme that provides cover for psychological services you should be able to claim from medical aid. At your discretion I am also able to claim from most medical aids on your behalf. Please note that you remain liable for any fees not covered by your medical aid.

A note about prescribed minimum benefits (PMB)

The prescribed minimum benefits (PMB) is a list of medical conditions for which, in terms of the law governing medical aid schemes, medical aids are obliged to provide cover. The aim of the PMB requirement is to ensure a minimum level of cover for people experiencing certain chronic and life-threatening conditions.

In order to access PMBs for psychotherapy, a psychologist, psychiatrist or medical doctor is required to submit an application to your medical aid scheme formally diagnosing you with one of the conditions that are covered.
